The worlds second largest railway under one management, the Indian Railways, carries more than ten million people every day.The twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad are extensively covered by the railway network. The Charminar Express provides an excellent overnight connection to Chennai. Some of the other major centers linked to Hyderabad/Secunderabad are Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Bhubaneshwar, Calcutta, Cochin and Rajkot. Secunderabad railway station, the more used of the two, is centrally located. The city bus service operates from the railway station.
By Roadways:
On the cross roads of National Highways 7 and 9, Hyderabad is well-connected. Buses of the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation operate to all centers in the region.

Hyderabad, in Andhra is the sixth largest city in India. Hyderabad was founded in 1591 and planned as a grid with the Charminar at its centre. It has now grown well beyond the confines of the original walled city, to include a new town north of the Musi river, the Military Cantonment at Secunderabad and a burgeoning high-tech Estate, nicknamed "Cyberabad". The citys sights include the grand palaces of its erstwhile rulers, the Nizams, and the colourful bazaars and mosques of the old city.
