How to get there: By Airways: Mysore has a domestic airport of its own. However the nearest international is in Bangalore, which is 140 Kms from Mysore.
By Railways: Mysore has a station of its own and is well connected with Bangalore, Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Shimoga and other South Indian cities. Some of the trains running from Mysore station are- Push-Pull Passenger (Except Sunday) , Bangalore Passenger, Shimoga Passenger, SwarnaJayanthi Express (Fri only), Shatabdhi Express (Except Tuesday), Sharavathi Express (Saturday only) etc.
By Roadways: Mysore is situated about 140 Kms from Bangalore, and 470 Kms from Chennai. It takes a wonderful three hour drive on the well constructed Mysore-Bangalore highway, amongst lush paddy fields and coconut grooves to reach Mysore from Bangalore.
