Dilwara Temples
Temples Mount Abu was an important Vaishnava and Shaivite pilgrim center up to the 11th century. Today, it is recognized the world over for it`s magnificent Jain temples. These temples are the greatest draw of Abu, apart from its salubrious clime. Half hidden by mango groves their sober exterior belies the wealth of their interior ornamentation. Wondrously carved in marble, the Dilwara temples enshrine various Jain tirthankaras, saints. Built between the 11th and 13th century, are famous for their superb carvings in marble.
Vimal Vasahi is the oldest temple, was built by Vimal Shah, Minister of Solanki ruler of Gujarat in 1031 A.D. It is dedicated to Adinath, the first of the Jain tirthankaras. Constructed out of white marble from Arasoori Hill, near Ambaji, 23 km from Abu Road, It is an outstanding example of Jain temple architecture. |  dilwara temple | Nakki Lake
Nakki Lake is virtually in the heart of Mt Abu and is a big attraction with tourist. The lake takes its name from the legend that it was scooped out by a god, using only his nails or, nakh. It`s a pleasant stroll around the lake – look for the strange rock formations.
It is popular spot for boating and the only artificial lake in India that is 1200 mts. above sea level. The surrounding hills have several area of interest. |  nakki lake | Toad Rock

It Is 2-km North Of Town. This ancient temple dedicated to the serpent goddess, Arbuda, is carved out of a huge rock. Arbuda is the patron of the town, who formed the mountain in order to save the sacred cow, Nandi from drowning in an abyss. Dedicated to Rama, this small temple (the cow’s mouth) is centered on a spring gushing from the mouth of a marble cow. In the Hindu creation myth, a cow, licking salt, forms the world; the source of the Ganges has the same name. This is said to be the site of the ancient “agni-kund” fire rituals. It was founded in 1983 and situated near Pandav Bhawan H.Q. of Brahma Kumari`s world spiritual university. It contains an Art gallery, spiritual museum, and oval shaped Raj yoga meditation room along with Universal peace hall.
