Parassinikkadavu Temple

Parassinikkadavu temple is situated 18 kms North of Kannur and it stands on the banks of the Valapattanam River. Shri Muthappan is the main deity of this temple. This is the only place where one can see the famous dance ritual, Theyyam which is performed all around the year. The pooja is held between 5 and 8am and 6.30 and 8.30pm. Non Hindus also can watch the Theyyam performance. The DTPC provides pleasure boating through the river surrounded by lush greenery, near the temple.
The Odathil Palli

The Odathil Palli at Thalassery was built by the Portuguese. The 500 year old mosque stands in the heart the town.
Holy Rosary Church

Holy Rosary Church, the most ancient Catholic Church in the district is situated below the Fort in Thalassery. This English Church is architecturally remarkable and has unique stained glass works brought from London. In it’s cemetery rest Sir Edward Brennen and other European officials of the East India Company and the government.
Trichambaram Temple

The temple is situated 20 km from Kannur, near Taliparamba town, famous for its spices trade on the National Highway. It is a sacred place of the Vaishnava cult, the deity of the temple is Sree Krishna. The sculptures on the walls of the sanctum sanctorum are a class by themselves. The annual temple festival, usually held in March, is a colourful event.
