There is something about this temple that attracts lots of visitors; it could be the very human expression on Sri Rangaswami’s face or perhaps the smile on the Lord’s face. A visit to this temple is a different experience from the usual sobriety of prayer. A dark many pillared hall leads to the inner sanctum where the Lord rests on the back of a snake. The Lashadweepotsava( a lakh lamps), is celebrated during Makar sankranti in the month of January every year in this temple with great pomp and show.

PANDAVAPURA
Pandavapura is the only place in India where you will find a temple of Ahalya.
This town has a mythological history attached to it. It is believed that the legendary demon lived here and harassed the innocent villagers living nearby. The villagers used to send him cartful of eatables along with a human for him to consume.
When the pandavas stopped by during there exile, the great Bhima slayed the demon and came to the villagers rescue. The Pandavapura lake is famous for it’s fishes found there.
