Manzarabad Fort
This is situated about 7 kms from Sakaleshpur. The fort is at a height of 3240 fts from sea level. Tipu Sultan constructed this fort in 1792 A.D.

Places Close By Halebid
Another famous temple around Halebid is the Keddareshwara temple, where intricate sculptures in stone can give any goldsmith a run for their money. Large portions of this temple is unfortunately destroyed, but in spite of that the star shaped pillars and carved ceilings are worth a visit.
One kilometer from Halebid is Basti hill, where there are Jain Bastis with gleaming black stone pillars. The pillars here are so shiny that you may mistake them to be mirrors. There are three temples here the most famous one being the Parswanath Temple. The 14 Ft high figure made of black stone draws a large crowd to this place.
