Ponmudi The charming hill resort is located 61 km. northeast of Thiruvananthapuram. The idyllic health resort is known for its bracing climate, tea plantations and scenic splendour. The deep forest trails are ideal for hiking and trekking. On the way to Ponmudi, the thick tropical forest greets one at the foot of the Ponmudi hill range. Kovalam Kovalam is 12kms to the south of Thiruvananthapuram and is one of the finest beaches in India. It has been developed into an integrated seaside resort. The beach complex has many hotels, cottages, yoga centres etc.
Kanyakumari Kanyakumari is surrounded by najestic hills and the plains bordered by colourful sea-shores, fringed with coconut trees and paddy fields, here and there are few elevated patches of red cliffs with undulating valleys and plains between the mountainous terrain and the sea - coast, so closely interwoven with Temples and Churches and other edifices lies the district. The lands end of India is only 87kms from Trivandrum. Also known as Cape Comorin, this beautiful spot is in the neighbouring Tamilnadu state.
Varkala Varkala is a pilgrim centre for the devotees of Sree Narayana Guru, one of the patron saints of Kerala, whose motto was "One God, One Religion, One Caste". One of most beautiful Beach is also there. It is only 51 kms from Trivandrum by road and also boasts of one of the best beaches in the State. The beach is adorned with high cliffs and mineral-water springs all around the coastline.
