Built in 1784, this Summer Palace was one of Tipus favorite retreats. Well manicured lawns and flower beds adorn this otherwise modest looking wooden palace. Though the outside may be quite modest look wise and nearly hidden by huge trees, the inside of this palace is a pleasant surprise. The quality of paintings and the wooden carvings will leave you astonished. This palace also holds a good collection of furniture and coins of the by gone era.

Captain Bailey’s Dungeon

The Obelisk
A little further from the dungeon is the place where Tipu Sultan was found dead while bravely fighting the British.
