KASHID BEACH

Next is the famous Kashid beach, 18 kms from Murud. The specialty is literally dazzling Silver sand on this clean beach. Casuarina plantation is ready close by for those, who have sweated and swam in the clear blue water. It’s a favorite spot for advertising, TV serial and film shoots. The beach is complete with small -food stalls and moderate to luxury class resorts .If you are traveling from Alibag to Murud, the last U-turn in the Ghat section of the road that descends on the Kashid beach is simply mesmerizing!

MURUD BEACH

What tells Murud apart from Alibag taluka is the fact that the sea side here is surrounded on three sides by mountains! This looks like a decked jewel! That adds to the beauty, especially on moonlight nights! As sun rises through mountains to the east, the angular rays fall on the silver sand and it begins to sparkle for whole day. Early morning, full tide bath in the warm water of the sea is a heavenly experience. The waters here are clearly blue and the shore dazzling white and clean! The sunset also is a must see! Especially on the background of tapering, artistically shaped minarets of the palace and other historic structures and the golden green mountains back in the east!
